I may not have remembered to save this family.  If not, I’ll start again or perhaps concentrate on another family.

Will decide once everything appears to be running ok and I look at my backup.

Gabriel had either had enough of children or had a suspicion the latest one wasn’t his.  He had other priorities like feeding himself.

He did feed it and change its nappy when he had to.

Dillon’s birthday came quickly and his looks weren’t promising either.

Alexandra just couldn’t get a promotion.  She needed to get a lot of exercise and was constantly tired looking after the kids and baby and never having time for herself.

They had the added nuisance of Geoff continually knocking over the rubbish bin out the front.  They hadn’t noticed at first until they saw the front lawn swarming with cockroaches once the snow had gone and saw the pile of rubbish building up.  The exterminator soon killed them all but that didn’t stop Geoff.

He also stole the newspaper which wasn’t such a biggie – no-one had the time to read it anyway.

Alexandra was relieved, then, when Danielle grew to a teenager so she could be of some use around the place.

I’ve seen uglier but the nose and mouth are a bit offputting.

It was soon baby Delphia’s turn to have a birthday.  Alexandra waited with baited breath.

Meh.  Not the prettiest but passable I suppose.

Dillon didn’t want Delphia’s lit birthday cake go to waste so he blew out the candles,

and grew to a teen. (This is one of the very few times I’ve aged a Sim prematurely.  He did only have one day left though.)

Better looking than expected.   However, only a female can be an heir in this challenge.

Alexandra wasn’t completely happy with Delphia’s looks so she went back to Geoff and Connor’s place (Connor invited her) and she and Connor got to know each other better.

Connor worked hard to get her to bed but, alas, she was now too old to have another baby.  Alexandra was rather relieved.  She didn’t want the hassle.  Delphia would have to do.  And before she knew it, Delphia was having another birthday.

She doesn’t look too bad.

Danielle went off to La Fiesta Tech in the middle of the desert.  She’s moved into a cool dorm but what do I do with her?

I’m now in the quandary of what to do with non-heirs.  When playing Sims 2 up until now I’ve played every Sim family (except those I didn’t create) and it took too long to play the whole town.  I want to concentrate on the heir only but that would leave the rest forever young.

Alexandra is about to age into an elder.  Her husband, Gabriel, is a little younger than her and has a few days yet.  Their relationship hasn’t been the happiest lately.

Alexandra’s heir, Danielle, was really a disappointment, appearance-wise.

It seemed a pity that a perfectly reasonable-looking founder should end up with a fairly unattractive heir to carry on the father’s unusual nose.  So it was time to “sleep around” a bit.

Alexandra left the house to move in with the guys, Rutherford and Weir.

Gabriel needn’t have been so upset.  She intended to come back.  The great thing with having a female heir was that you didn’t have to get married to get the relevant surname.

Both guys were attracted to Alexandra.

Which one did she choose? Geoff Rutherford…

Alexandra quickly realised that Geoff was into swimsuits so she dressed appropriately.

Unfortunately Geoff has a nose thing going on too, but it was worth the risk.

Alexandra moved back home and Geoff started visiting.

Geoff could see from the daughter why Alexandra wanted to try someone else.  Unfortunately he saw her in bed with her husband and left in a huff.

The results of Alexandra’s little affair could soon be seen.

It was evident that Danielle’s face wasn’t going to improve with age on her birthday.

The baby quickly grew to a toddler.

His face looks a bit squished.  Not the best outcome from breeding with Gabriel.

Alexandra was promoted to Relic Liberator, as you can see.

A girl was born.  Alexandra named her Danielle.

That was timely as Alexandra was pretty near starving from overdoing the aerobics.

Gabriel proved to be a good dad.

Gabriel changed jobs before the baby was born.  He’d wanted to get into the medical career and got a job and was quickly promoted to paramedic.  They needed the money.  Alexandra found herself pregnant again.

The house was far too small for two kids (since it was a one-bedroomed place) and there was really no room to build, so they had to save to move house.

They moved closer to town into a double-storeyed place.

The house wasn’t much to look at and Alexandra regretted the lack of a sea view but the space was needed.

Gabriel got friendly with a new neighbour.

Alexandra didn’t.

Nevertheless she made lunch for the visitors.

The baby got forgotten.

Danielle’s birthday came round very quickly.

Danielle is rather odd looking.

(Not a good shot.  For some reason couldn’t get in closer.)

It was close to midnight by the time she’d got home and had a nap and was ready.  She headed for the museum of art.  She started talking to some guy who looked like a farmer but he wasn’t interested in her because she wore makeup.

She headed back downstairs to watch the moving statue guy and met Gabriel.  Totally unexpectedly he kissed her!

Alexandra had had no idea that Gabriel even liked her let alone fancied her.  She didn’t know what how to react at first.

What to do?  The statue guy seems to echo Alexandra’s quandary.  Gabriel obviously liked her a lot so his relationship with Samantha can’t have been that close.  Oh, what the hell…

She went along with it but then they parted ways and she went home.

She couldn’t stop thinking about him though.  She tried ringing but he was at work, so at least he had a job.  She invited the farmer guy around who brought a friend with him but they weren’t very interesting.  Finally she got through to Gabriel and invited him over.

After a bit of hugging and kissing she invited Gabriel to move in.  He did so.

He brought with him about 400 simoleons.  He was a convenience store clerk.  Oh well – gotta start somewhere.

Gabriel was pretty quick to propose to her.

She accepted but made it clear that when they married he had to take her surname.  They agreed to marry that very evening.

Gabriel Green became Gabriel Phillips.

They settled into married life pretty quickly.

But Gabriel seemed pretty happy.

Alexandra got promoted to deep sea excavator and was earning twice as much as Gabriel.

Before they knew it, she became pregnant.

Generation two is on its way.

She’s just moved to Belladonna Cove and hopes to start a happy life there.  She started by buying a small  house on the outskirts of the little town.

The house is a one-bedroomed house with a single bed and the essentials.  Alexandra’s first step was finding a job in the adventuring career.  She was successful in her first search in the newspaper.

She met a couple of neighbours, Gabriel and Samantha.  She thought Gabriel looked nice but it was obvious from the first that this couple loved each other.  Gabriel’s nose was a bit weird anyway, she later thought.

Alexandra has been promoted twice and is now a multiregional Sim of some question, whatever that means.

She’s now starting to get lonely and wants to meet new people and perhaps, even, someone special.
